DROP IT IN 2016.

Image
(Post by Kunle Myk) So it’s the end of 2016 and I must say that this year has been an eventful one, controversies and happenings everywhere. It’s been a wonderful year and I'm sure at the beginning of this year most people made “new year resolutions” and most people didn’t keep to these resolutions. 2017 is around the corner and I'm sure most people have their new year resolutions already. As soon as 2017 begins I won’t be surprised to start hearing “New Year, New Me” from people. However, there are some habits most people need to drop this 2016 and I know I'm guilty of some of these habits, I tag it “DROP IT IN 2016” Reaching out to people only when you Need their Help – This is a habit most people possess, some people don’t see it as something bad but it’s actually not right when you probably talk to someone only when you need something from them and you don’t talk to them till the next time you need something else. This act is bad, ‘Drop It in 2016” Pe...

MY TOP 10 PET PEEVES

Image
Hello lovelies! It feels like forever since i last posted. School! School is just the worst. No time for myself. But i'm here with another blog post, talking about my pet peeves.Let me know in the comment section below if you can relate to any of them. 1. People who say the word "gbera". This frustrates me to no end. I find this word very disgusting. 2. People who spit in public. What is wrong with some people? This is a barbaric act lol. Why should you spit in public? Iru rubbish wo is that? . When you are not pregnant. Even any pregnant woman that spits carelessly, is a dirty ass person. If you cannot control what is inside of your mouth, get yourself a tissue or go to a corner and spit. Don't just spit while walking or when you are in a moving vehicle. Don't be stupid. 3.When people do not have minds of their own and cannot stick to their shit. Sometimes,i'll be having a conversation with some "friends" and they say they like or do not...

ADUKE SHORT FILM PREMIERE -JUJU HOUSE OF COMEDY.

Image
Juju house of comedy is a platform that makes comedy skits but, they just recently premiered a short film,Aduke. It is the first ever student movie to be supported by WA INC and first ever movie to be premiered in the University of Ilorin. It was shot by A. Hassan films and Moore films.I was at the premiere so,I can say,the movie was shot right! The turn out was unbelievable. The show was sold out.Ticket sales had to be put to a halt. There was not a single dull moment because there were performances to trill the audience. There was karaoke, dance performances. Top Unilorin Artistes like,Damilare,Kenneth Right,Tundex Mania, yskid, came to do their thing. DJ Atech was also there, giving the audience some kinda dope ass jams. Tjan, announced he was coming for the show, but he didn't. That wasn't a problem because,Kenneth Right sang the "Aduke" song and everybody was good.lol. A short film by Deji Blvck;Predestination was also shown and it was awesome. The m...

YES,I AM A BLOGGER.NO,I AM NOT LINDA IKEJI (OPEN LETTER TO PEOPLE THAT QUESTION WHAT I DO).

Image
Hey guys! It's weird how I get inspired to write a post.lol.But whatever works right?Right.I was having a conversation with a blogger friend after we had a another conversation with someone who said "You are a blogger, you are a blogger. Are you making money from it?"I began to think. Really? Is that what there is to all this? I remember when I started blogging and I tell people I blog, they would be like " you don't have work oh"."how will you sit down and be writing and wasting data"."This thing you are doing, dem dey pay you?".Now,it has changed to "So,you want to be the next Linda Ikeji".ugh! The number of times I hear that. The same people send you messages now to tell you how good of a job you are doing.Make up your minds o! With this post,I want people to get something straight. I started blogging because of the Passion(yes, passion).I wanted to share things of interest with people. I wanted to inspire people. It was with...

INTRODUCING MY CLOTHING LINE,STYLED BY HASSY(SBH).

Image
Sup people! It’s been a while now.Heck,it seems like forever since I wrote a post.SCHOOL! Settling down for this semester hasn’t been easy and I have been very uninspired lately.Maybe lazy or both. But,I finally have the freedom to share what I have been keeping in! I finally accomplished one of my dreams.I have a clothing line now. So,28th of October,2016, I launched my debut collection,FLAWED of my line,STYLED BY HASSY(SBH).It wasn’t easy at all. But,as they say “nothing good comes easy”. I got asked a lot why the collection is called FLAWED.The story behind the collection,FLAWED is,as a teenager,I know I have flaws and this is a crucial period of trying to handle it. Teenage hood is not easy at all.We are all finding ourselves and this makes it really overwhelming. With my line, focused on teens like myself,my aim is to influence them and encourage them to accept their flaws.I also want them to be able to express themselves with whatever they decide to wear.I mean w...

DEAR PARENTS : SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S DREAM.

Image
Hey guys! I know I do this a lot but,I apologize for not posting anything in a while.I have been uninspired lately.I've been kinda busy too with a few things. School is also starting in a few days.Ugh! I ain't ready for that tho.I ain't ready. So,this post was inspired by a friend who talked to me about something she was/is facing with her parents(her mum especially). I decided to write about it because it's something I can relate to.It's something we can all relate to. Most parents,if not all, want their child/children to become a doctor, lawyer, engineer. You know the rest. They want that so much that they discourage and belittle what the child actually wants to do. Throughout my childhood,I've always wanted to be different things. From being an accountant to a therapist,to a video editor, movie critic, fashion designer and now,a blogger, designer and vlogger. Lol.Yes! I've never been a child that wanted to be a doctor or lawyer, engineer ( lol! My brain ...

KAYKAY ONYEOBI OF KANWULIAA.COM.

Image
(All photos were gotten from her IG @kaykayonyeobi) I had a chance to interview this cool kid,Kaykay, who owns the blog, kanwuliaa.com  ,a stylist and a photographer. She is also the Founder and creative director of Kaochi Official and 2016 Nigerian teen choice awards, choice fashion blogger. She has one of the coolest styles I have ever seen. This is probably one of my favorite interviews I have ever done. Your style is amazing! Different from what we see in Nigeria, I must say.How would you describe it and who and what influences your style? That's so sweet, thank you very much! I'd describe my style as being very innovative, cool and minimal but in a not so minimal way (not basic), ya feel me? Lol. My style is influenced by culture and the arts (and I mean all forms). I literally get inspired by everything around me! And if im seen wearing it, then you know it has to be very comfortable. Comfort is key for me. Your brand is growing fast! What inspires you t...
